FAQs

Where can I buy tickets?

Pre-sale tickets are available through the Tixr website only (https://www.tixr.com/groups/avcconventions/events/mississippi-comic-con-2021-21231).

Online pre-sales end at 11:00 PM on Friday, June 25th. Those who choose to buy tickets in person will have to wait until the show opens on Saturday to purchase.

I purchased a ticket online. What do I need to bring?

Bring your printed out ticket (or have the QR code readily available on your phone) and bring to registration where we will scan it and swap it for a wristband. This wristband will not be replaced and must be worn for the duration of the convention.

When do presales end?

Online at 11:00 PM on Friday, June 25th

Do presales get in early?

No, but we will start scanning in pre-sales early on Saturday at 8:30am, so most pre-sale purchasers can be the first through when doors open at 10am.

Are you selling tickets at the door?

Yes, tickets may be purchased with cash, Discover, American Express, MasterCard or Visa at registration the day of the event. We will also be selling tickets in person at the Trade Mart the day of the event at show open.

What are the show hours?

The event hours are Saturday 10am – 6pm and Sunday 11am – 5pm.

Are the celebrity guests there all day?

All guests are scheduled to attend both days, except for those stated otherwise (Sting, Christopher Sabat, Kevin Sorbo). Guests do take breaks throughout the day, and they do their Q&A panels. Otherwise, they’ll be at their booths signing and taking pics with fans. Guests do set their own schedules and may arrive a little after opening time on show days. Some will also have to leave early on Sunday to catch their flights back home.

Do celebrity guests charge for pictures and autographs?

Yes, most do. We have posted pricing on our website in the Guest section for those who have sent us their pricing. Their pricing is general per item. Most of the guests will also be doing professional photo ops. A link to that schedule (and pricing for pro photo ops) is also on our website.

Will there be lines?

As with any event, there can be lines to enter that require a wait. There may also be lines to meet celebrities. Please be patient while everyone gets to meet their favorite actor or actress.

Is there a costume contest?

Yes! Registration takes place at the Cosplay Central booth from 10 AM until 2:30 PM. You must register at this booth to be entered, and there is no entry fee. The costume contests will take place only on Saturday.

Are there rules to my cosplay?

Absolutely. Our general guidelines are listed on our website. As we can’t cover all the possibilities of costuming and props, items will be checked at security on a case by case basis. Some may not be allowed to enter.

Do the panels cost?

No, not at all. Entry to panels is included with your cost of entry. Guests will only participate in one panel over the weekend. Some guests do not have a panel scheduled, instead opting to spend more of their time with the attendees at their respective booths.

Do I have to dress up to enter?

Not at all, but we welcome whoever wants to dress up to do so. Rules of cosplay are listed on our website.

What is the bag policy?

All bags will be checked at the door each time entering the event. No specific bag sizing or requirements have been given to us by the venue, but this may change.

What is the policy on masks?

You can find that info at the bottom of our homepage: https://mississippicomiccon.com/
